Hey All,
I'm sure there's gotta be a couple Halo/xbox fans on here.

just giddy about picking up my copy of halo 2 at midnight tonight!
for anyone who wants to look me up in the game, my gamertag is quiksan (go figure, eh?)
thought it muight be fun to get together with some of the folks on here who may be playing...

Halo is great. Especially for computer. Can't wait for Halo 2 for computer.
 
dang xbox (about 2 years old) couldn't hack it with the dual layer Halo 2 disc. good thing I bought a new xbox yesterday afternoon - just in case!

game is just sick. played til 230am and then went to bed...i'm responsible after all and had to work today. :)
just played 3 hours with my buddy and father in law. man it's some good fun.
i recommend it very highly.
 
I love it -- just got it a few hours ago, and am already hooked.

I love the option to have more than one local player in an internet match -- split screen, AND online! My DSL upstream just got bumped to 416k, so I think that should be fine to support two local players on my end... I can't wait!

All in all, a damn good game. I'm still hooked on Splinter Cell 2's online games, but Halo 2 gets just as much playtime from me. I'm still trying to understand Halo 2's method of selecting servers -- it seems different from most other games in the fact that you can't choose your server from a list of servers. It kinda just sticks you in whatever server it feels like. While I suppose that's good for keeping all the servers balanced, having the choice would be nice.
 
yeah, LIVE play was a bit confusing at the very first try. getting INto LIVE play I should say.
my father in law and I were trying to invite each other to our own rooms/games, but kept getting a network error. then we finally met up in a mutual friends' game.

yeah, kinda odd not being able to choose from a list of game rooms going on, but oh well.

it's insane with 16 people, and there can be list 8 different teams in one game too - totally nuts.

and that sword is just my favorite new thing!!!!

Well, my Halo 2 still takes quite a while to "get into a room," but no more than 1 - 2 minutes. Usually around 1. It's cool because it ALWAYS puts me in a room that's filledto capacity, which makes the online part that much more fun.

My Live tag is Broadway Hoppe... what's yours?

keystone, right before you drive up to a-basin. nice and tucked away so it's quiet, but still close to everything.
