Halo

Halo, while a great game, is a bit overrated. I could live without it on my Mac.

I don't know maybe i am just jaded because it was orignally slated for Mac first release and then thos jag-offs at M$ came in and scooped up poor bungie.
 
I've got Halo for my Xbox and it's pretty cool .. but the majority of the fun comes from playing with friends. You can drive like a dune-buggy while your friend works the machine gun on the back. I don't know, I'm sure it would be great for the Mac but I'd much rather be able to play it with friends.
 
and they will keep it that way until another "Only on XBOX" worthy title comes out and can hold Halo's sales numbers.... then maybe you start to see it released for the Mac and PC markets.
 
I know it's availible for XBox, but I will not support M$ in their posponing the Mac version. I'm boycotting XBox for Halo and Halo alone. This is a move I want to see make as little money as possible.

Bungie Studios' very own Community Guy, Matt Soell, posted a message in the halo.bungie.org forums in an attempt to calm the panicked masses. Here's a clip


I will try to say this again a little more clearly so that no one misunderstands. We still plan to do a Mac and PC version of Halo, but there are a lot of questions that must be answered before we can make the Mac/PC versions happen. It's like driving across town to a friend's house. You could take the highway, but it's rush hour; maybe it would be better to take side streets? Do you have enough gas for the trip, or do you need to make a side trip to a gas station? Can you park on his street for free or do you need to bring cash for a parking garage? These are all important questions that you'll need to answer before you start the trip, and will certainly affect the trip itself - but they don't affect the destination. You're going to your friend's house one way or another.

I hope Halo comes out for Mac. It could classify Mac as more of a serious gaming platform.

But we'll see what happens.
