A little more information about your computer, operating system, and everything else would help.

i got 10.4 on a g4

what ever i do on my computer it freezes

it stays on for ten minutes then it just freezes.

Have you installed anything weird or 3rd party lately? When did this problem start occuring? Have you tried fixing disk permissions?

Go to Spotlight and type in "Disk Utility", open the app, select your hard disk, and click "Repair Permissions"

in what way does it freeze? do you get a grey translucent overlay with a message to hold down power and restart in various different languages?

or does it just stop responding?

what type of G4 do you own? Powerbook? iBook? Power Mac G4? iMac? etc

@Lt Major Burns

it freezes when i move a folder open one or when i move the window around

it just freezes the screen just stays the same but i can't move nothing.

please i need help with this so please help.

What model G4?
How much memory is installed?
Have you installed memory recently?
Have you run Repair Permissions or Repair Disk? Or any maintenance on the machine?

Is it a new install? Tiger indexes the drives for Spotlight when first installed. If that's the case, just let it do it's thing - for whatever time it takes - up to 30 minutes for a big drive, more if you are indexing extrnal drives also.

Try that without rejecting the other responses.
