Hard disk Issues

Hey guys, new to the forums ;) im the it dept at this sheet metal shop, i work with windows and mac, i have one mac dv imac running jaguar, and im having an issue with the hard disk. sometimes the computer comes up with an error message before the thing is barely booting and says restart the computer. Also, when i tried to boot into single user mode i ran /sbin/fsck -y and it said something about invalid parent cname in thread blah blah diskc check halted. anyone got an idea whats wrong with this thing?
 
You're working at a company that produces sheet metal products, right? Do they just let their production machines go without any maintainance because of funding. Talk to the boss, if these computers are depended on for the business operation, you should have the necessary tools to keep them in good shape, and to repair problems should they occur. DiskWarrior, TechTool Pro, Drive 10, each are a small price to pay to keep a computer running smoothly, especially for a business that depends on their operation.

Tell your boss to call me, we'll get him straightened out :)

Seriously, with the little bit you mentioned about running FSCK, you need one of these utilities, or you need to reformat the drive.
