Hi all,
I have this problem since two days, i can't get through...
Something happend with my os X partition and os X does'nt start no more. Nor verbose mode can be of any aid because if freezes before. From anorther post I got the idea of checking the partition name and..
the mac os X partition has no name! So that's why... but...
how can i put back the name on the partition? Why this came out...

Anyone of you have a hint for me?

I'll be grate forever ;)

thanks

That's really weird. Have you tried booting from an OS 9 CD and renaming the partition? If that doesn't work, you may have to do some partition map voodoo, but I don't know of any good Mac programs for that.

mmmmmmmm...

I've posted a new tread on this subj, because maybe the title is not helpful. I've called this "fstab".

In my experience with linux that can be the problem; fstab is wrong and the bootloader freezes before it can report any activity. This can explain why from the 9.1 partition all works fine (even the disk name). This is the content of fstab... do u have any clue?

And thank u for posting
