Hard Drive Activity every 5 - 8 seconds

I have a dual 2.5 and about a month ago it started writting to the hard drive every 5 - 8 seconds. I went to activity monitor and it will 'very briefly' show a process called 'Issave' running when it writes. It is so quick, that it does not show up in the activity window every time.
I have looked at console messages, and nothing appears to be abnormal or wrong.
The only way to make it quit, for a little while, is to reboot. Eventually it starts doing it again.....
any ideas?

Have you tried to search, for what issave is? Personally, I am not familiar with it, is it a backup program running in the background? Search my system and did not find anything 'issave'
