I have a Mac Book Pro with 148 GB of Hard Drive space (about 24 BG available). I have about 30 GB used up from Apps and random files, but I cant figure out what is using up the other 100 GB. I know the OS takes up space, but not that much.
Yes, if you have GarageBand, iMovie, iDVD, Final Cut (Pro/Express) or Logic installed. The support files (templates, sound clips, movie clips, etc.) take up quite a bit of space.
ElDiabloConCaca hit it on the nose. I have all of those Apps on my Comp. I deleted Garage Band because I have never (and never will) use it. Is there a way run programs off of an external HD smoothly? I have a WD MyBook 700GB plugged in via firewire but I can't install programs there (I assume its a speed issue)?
