Hardware Compatibility List (SCSI Adapters)??

Well, did Apple (or anyone) bother to make one...

Every other OS vendor does (even vendor-less OSes like FreeBSD and Linux try), so there should be one for MacOS X... Especially given how much SCSI stuff Macs used pre-new-world...

Specifically, I'm allready going to have to return one SCSI card, and I don't want to have to send the next one back. The card is for a scanner, and I don't need ultra-wide-whatever, just plain old DB-25 narrow SCSI...

But I can't just buy any-old-PCI-scsi-card (even the ones that say 'MAC Supported') because I don't know if it will work or not, and I've been unable to find a list of what does and does not...

Thanks, but what I'm looking for is a list of supported controllers/chipsets, I can then find the card locally (unless you know of an online retailer with $10-16 PCI SCSI cards)...
