Harware issues - boot process diagnosis

Typing Command S in OS X allows one to view the boot process. My Wallstreet has essentially been rendered useless, as it only boots to the point where Ethernet comes up on the screen. See below:

Ethernet (BMac): Polled transmit timeout -2
Ethernet (BMac): Link up at 10 Mbps - Half Duplex

So thats where everything comes to a halt. Does anyone have an experience such as this? I'm guessing my ethernet card may be toast.

Any suggestions on this?

Us the OS CD to boot the computer and see what happens. If it starts up, use Disk Utility and see what comes up. You didn't get the hardware test CD with your powerbook, so my next suggestion is to take it in. :(
