Have a MacBook Pro 17" 2.16GHz Core Duo. Should I buy a 13" 2.66GHz Core 2?

I have a 17" MacBook Pro that's over 5 years old. I'm a web designer and run Photoshop, Dreamweaver, a couple of browsers, Calendar, Email and maybe Powerpoint all at once. I seriously need the portability of a 13" but I don't know if it will under perform my 17" mac. My Mac's details are:

Hardware: MacBook Pro 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo 2MB 667MHz SDRAM
Graphics: ATI Radeon X1600

The new 13" I want to replace it with is:
Hardware: 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 320M with 256MB DDR3

Should I buy the 13"

The new MacBook Pro, 13-inch screen, will leave a 4 year old MacBook Pro in the dust.
The main disadvantage is the 13-inch screen. Can you do your graphics and design jobs on the much smaller screen?
Of course, you can use an external screen for more screen space (but you give up that portability that you want)
