having problem setting up cashbox

I have entered the name of my account but it will not connect to the internet to download the updates. I have gone online to find a step by step instructions site on how to set up the accounts and get it going, but I can't seem to find any.
I just want to get the program going. My husband said it was suppose to be easy. It's very frustrating.

I just downloaded CashBox and it does the same thing on my end -- "Connection Error - Cashbox could not connect to the propper[sic] site to check for an update. The server may be down."

It seems like the update server is down.

I typically don't put too much faith in applications that don't, at the very least, spell-check their error messages. It shows a lack of detail-orientation and makes one wonder what else in the program the author just glossed over without taking much time to perfect. Kind of goes against the "Mac mantra."

There seem to be much better financial management applications out there -- I like the look and feel of Cha-Ching, and iBank is good, too -- both are not free, though.

Buddi is free, although not nearly as feature-packed as the aforementioned applications. Squirrel is also free, and seems to be a good alternative to Buddi.
