Hi, I've got some problems with my iBook G4. The HD free space is very small, so y started deleting some files, after I had deleted allmost 10 GB, the HD free space didn't change, I don't know where my files are or my free space. Afer using "whatsize" program, I realized that there was a file named "xxxx.sparseimage", and its size is 30 GB. I'm wondering if I can delete this file, or if I can find the previously deleted files and delete them forever.

Thanks

P.D.: sorry for my english, but I speak spanish.

You must empty the trash in order for deleted files to be deleted for good. You can do this by pressing "Empty Trash" from the finder menu. A sparseimage file will be created if an account uses filevault. Don't delete it. Disable filevault, or delete the account to get rid of the sparseimage.

Eric, thank you for your answer, but I allready empty the trash, and nothing happened, and, y can't disable the filevault, because it says that there isn't enough space for performing the operation.
If I delete the account i will loose all the information, what can i do?
