I have an iMac running OSX, and I just installed Office X. I've created a few new Word X docs, and I have a bunch of old Word docs transferred from another machine. No older--or other--versions of Word exist on this iMac.
If I launch Word X, then open a Word document using File/Open..., everything works fine.
However, if Word X is not running and I double-click on a Word X document, the iMac says "Classic environment starting from Macintosh HD", which I think means it's launching OS9.
Why would it launch classic anything to run Word X? Any ideas?
Thanks!
