Hi first off thanks for reading this, I was installing an update from 10.2 to 10.2.2 via software update and i also was downloading "Stuffit Security Update" and the computer freezed and i restarted it and Stuffit no longer worked.
I have not been able to get a copy anywhere almost purely on the fact that almost everything out there is compressed with StuffIt.
So anyone out there with the heart, and especially it being Christmas and all, help me out at all? PLEASE... It's killing me...Please send the Stuffit Application in a disk image (.dmg) to roger@cocoaserver.com, or post it on the web, please someone help me
Sorry. Don't mean to sound like a scrooge here, but why not just head on over to http://www.aladdinsys.com/ and click on the link at the bottom that says "Download Stuffit Expander?" and on the following page, click "Download now?"
it wont work it keeps on saying "additional 1 kilobytes are needed" and ive downladed it and uninstalled stuffit several times, it just wont work..the installation program wont install it
Well thanks for trying, but what I meant was the application itself, that installer wont wrk for me at all ...sorry to waste your time, but please i still need help! I need to download oor ill die!
Well, sure. But if the Stuffit Engine is corrupted, the app probably won't work by itself. How about trying deleting the Stuffit engine, (delete anything with stuffit.engine or stuffitengine )There's a Stuffit framework in the Library folder, too. Maybe the installer can't update a corrupted file, deleting one or all of these might help. also, if you can't boot to OS 9, then you'll have to use some unix term commands to remove some of these. I can't help with those.
Yeah I already tried that, I also tried uninstalling everythihng that I could, it just still wont work...is the only way to solve this to reinstall 10.2 all over again? This really sucks 10.2 is full of bugs, Mac OS X is good but 10.2 sucks, Apple is getting me more and more pissed everyday. Anyways please anyone please send the stuffit application please!!
