help! i trashed my dock!

after updating jaguar to the new version 10.2.8 i discovered, that my dock was in the original state again, not transparent. so i reran transparent dock to customize it again.
now comes the hard part: having worked fine for at least a year now, i decided not to save a backup of the dock.app. when i pushed apply changes, the dock didnt show up again. several restarts didnt help, so i think i trashed the dock.app file. is there any solution other than reinsalling the system??

Try trashing the com.apple.dock.plist file;

user/library/preferences

and any for Transparent dock

i forgot to mention that. that was my first thought, too.

you can reinstall the dock from the install disc im pretty sure, using that program that lets you install stuff seperately from packages
