Im running Snow Leopard Beta. I really like what they've done with the OS. But the only thing that i don't like, The hard drive is no longer on the desktop, Can anyone help me out by telling me how i can get it back onto the desktop?
That was one of my favorite things on a mac, was how easy it was to access the hard drive.
I've made a short cut from it and placed it on my desktop, but its not quite the same, if i right click on it, and Get info, it doesn't tell me how much space ive used, of course because its just a shortcut, it only tells me how big the shortcut is.

I would be a little disappointed if there wasn't a way to have the HD mounted on the desktop, I don't see why Apple would take something like that out..?

Click on the desktop to get to the finder. Then click on the "Finder" name (next to the top left Apple symbol)and use the pull down to get to Finder's Preferences. Make sure the show hard drive is checked marked.
