HELP iPod sounds like crap!

In the past 1/2 hour my iPod took all my songs and they now sound like crap! The vocals are almost gone in all the songs. If i run it through iTunes and the computers speaker it's all good but if i plug in headphones it sounds so bad. And we've tried different headphones. So i think it's the jack.

These all have a 1 year warenty right?! What should i do? On the bright side, will apple let me upgrade if i take it back and it needs to be replaced?

it happened during the middle of a song. And the equilizer has been the same for weeks. So i doubt that.

Try stroking it tenderly

No, really, try re-starting it (hold Play and Menu at the same time for some time) and see if that might fix it...it's worth a try...

So after talking to Apple i did a hard restart and the same thing happened. But when i got in my car i hooked it up to my iRock and it worked fine. It also works fine here at school now. Weird

Have you tried restoring the iPod to factory settings?

could be the headphone jack, if the irock doesnt run through that
