Help me!!! Fix error mac mail

Hi all

I have macbook air using mac mail to send/receive, i config two account POP and IMAP. Account POP using normal but account IMAP is regular error.
Mail is still received but attachments don't be read

I was deleted account IMAP and reconfig, Create new user profiles and reconfig IMAP account but don't fix error.

Please Help me!!! Thanks
 
Can you open attachments on messages in the POP account?
What kind of error do you get trying to open attachments in the IMAP account?
Which version of MacOS X do you run?
Which version of Mail?
 
Help yourself to trace down the problem. Open Mail, Mail's menu items called 'Window' and select "Connection Doctor". This will open a panel the will show you the Mail Program trying to connect to their assigned servers. Now when the panel opens look at the bottom of the panel for "Show Detail". Click on that and then click "Check Again". This will bring a drop down so you can see live the connections trying to be made. This way you can trace down the server change and try to correct it.
 
POP account open attachments on messages normal but IMAP account can't open
attachments. When I want open attachments ext ppt file, Power point still
open but cannot load file content
MAC OS X version 10.6.5, Mac mail version 4

Then what did the server say? Is there any errors in the steps of Mail connecting the server?

Now if you really want to correct this you can reset Mail.

1. Move any messages out of the Inbox in saved Mail folders on your Mac. This step is important because it blow away any Mail in the Inbox.

2. Open Mail's Preferences and write down all the email servers you have. This is important because this information will be blown away! So write it down before you regret it.

3. Quite Mail now.

4. Open the folder /YourHardDrive/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/ and find the file com.apple.mail.plist and move it to your Trash can (but don't delete it just yet).

5. Open Mail and stop the auto email setup. Then when Mail open a view window go to Mail Preferences, and put it the email server accounts that you wrote down in step 2.

I had to do this a couple of times because Mail freaked out at some third party Mail add-ons. It does work resetting your email server setting without touching your saved email boxes.

Server no error. All email still download normal, all attachments of POP account is normal but some attachments of IMAP account can't read, I check on webmail, everything is normal. I checked on email error of IMAP account, attachments downloaded wrong size with webmail

In Mail make sure you have not left any of the IMAP email is still in your Inbox. Then in Mail open Mail's Preferences, Accounts and delete the account for the IMAP. Then quit Mail. Then reopen Mail and use Mail's Preferences and add back the IMAP account.

Plus let use know if you using any third party Mail plugin.
