Help me. I'm desperate ...

3mors

HampCake Studios
This is my configuration:

PowerMac G4 1GHz dual
1024MB Ram DDR PC2700
GeForce4 Titanium 128MB DDR

and on Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault the FPS are always about 45; 20 if there are a lot of players.

I tried all settings:
picmip, texture quality, etc etc
I have no FPS limit.

Whats my problem?
The system shows me that I have 1024MD of ram, but MOHAA is the same than when I had 512MB ram.

:( :( :(

Is a mohaa problem? Could be a problem of my MOHAA version?

I'm sure this isn't the response you're looking for, but do you really notice a difference between 40 fps and higher? I know I can't see much above 30 fps...
Are you the only person experiencing this? or was it a poor coding job by Aspyr?

Sure, 'cause if there are a lot of players FPS goes down and the game is slow ...

=(

Here there's a screenshot from the game.
All settings are the minimum.
Also screen resolution.

And notice the fps.

Sh1t ....

Can the game run under OS9 ?

I run all my games (that's TWO games in fact, Unreal T. and Quake III, sometimes StarCraft) in OS9. FPS is much better than in OSX.

Here there's another screenshot.

Picmip value is setted to the highest.

Seems impossible. Always the same FPS ....

That's desperate? From your title, I'd figured you'd actually lost some paying work, a make-or-break assignment or a big contract in some sort of computer glitch. But fps rates on a GAME?! ;-)

Okay. I guess I shouldn't tease. :)

I'm desperate 'cause I think that it's a problem of my PowerMac or video card or Ram ...

could be?

Have you tried the game under OS9, as I asked you to ? Is this possible ? If it is, could you tell use the FPS under OS9 ?

This would be a better way of testing your hardware rather than taking new screenshots with new options (BTW, your last screenshot gives 51 FPS, which is not baad AT ALL).

You can check your RAM in the System Profiler. If it does appear there, then it is correctly installed. In doubt, swap RAM slots.

Finally, if you STILL have problems when tested the game on OS9 and checked your RAM is correct, I recommend you just behave the following way: take your phone and use the MOHAA hotline, which you can use for free if you have bought the game (I think there is 30 minutes of hotline offered with the game, if I recall well).

I'd try to install OS 9, but I have no space free on HDs.
Only on primary partition where Jaguar is installed.
So I don't know how to install it.

haha, but serioulsy, my PC runs all the games better than the Mac....
and its a older PC (p4 1.3GHz xp pro) vs LCD iMac 800MHz

Runs a lot better on OS 9. As a matter of fact I only play it on OS 9. The only drawback is that it is not as stable on OS 9. On OS 9 I've peeked at 110 FPS but avg about 70-80fps.

OK, men.
Now I want to install OS 9. :)

But I have a question:
How to install OS 9 in the same partition of OS X?

Ok I'm not a mac guy but I will say this, increasing system RAM from 512MB to 1gig would do nothing to increase framerates in those games or any other game I know. The problem is (and I'm going from the PC side of things), that the games may not be optimized for dual processors so really, the game is running like it would on a single 1gig G4 machine.
The Gforce4 card is not holding you back. The only thing you can do is somehow increase processor speed and memory bandwidth.

Dont bother with OS9 just to get these games running faster. I dont think you will notice a huge difference. 5fps is what I will guess you will gain.
