help! no internet! ibook!

I just got my ibook today and compuserve 2000 isnt working on it. it wont see the modem in my ibook. so now im totally screwed cuz i cant go online with it. any free or cheap alternatives? anyone know where i can get dialup for $10 a month unlimited in NJ? thanks
 
maybe no one has answered your question because a decent isp is going to cost more than that most places. Why not go with somebody that supports macs like earthlink or some of the ones advertised at www.macupdate.com.

dsl would be a lot more than you are imagining paying, but is well worth it in terms of time spent on a task.:)
 
Oh yea? LocalNet. supports mac os x.....$10 a month for unlimited access...AND ITS FAST. Ya cant beat it. I love it. I used to have cable modem but now Im paying millions of bills because im poor.
 
so if you already had the answer, why did you ask the question? quite frankly i answered your post because it was sliding down the page and i thought if i bumped it up then somebody would come along and tellme how wrong i was and give you the help in the process. I never expected that person to be you:confused:
