Help !!! Sharing-System Preferences

I running OS X 1.02, everything function fine except that everytime I open the "sharing" extention in the "System Preferences" it gives me the message "The Application System Preferences unepectedly Quit". In the Console"s log I get the following text

Otherwise all components of the System Preferences function fine. I will be very grateful for any help to correct this problem. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
 
Have you activated Ethernet, Airport, PPP and the like? Try removing them from the list of active network connections before hitting the Sharing tab. Keep only ethernet (even if that's not connected to anything).

Also - if that doesn't help - try making a new user (with admin privileges) and set the sharing stuff as the new user. This way you'll find out whether it has something to do with prefs of your normal user.

I have tried both your solutions but unfortunately neither has worked. Many thanks though for your tips.
 
I seem to remember www.macfixit.com reporting about this exact problem someday this month. You might want to search their archives to see if you can dig up the solution. I'll see what I can find, but you might want to check yourself if I don't reply with a direct link.
