HELP with mac os X

i just got a older ibook G4 and i now love macs, but i accidentally deleted my entire applications foler and so i figured id just erase and reload my mac os X software. but when i put the disk in it shows up and asks me to restart and when it restarts it goes to a panic kernel screen and wont boot up to install even if i try to force install holding C. pleeeaaassse help me.

ive had the 2nd part of your problem, not the trashing of my app folder..lol.. any way i wantted to reset my notbook so i restarted with my osx disk in side and nothing happend no reboot no nothing, i took it into a store and they sorted it out for me for free, yes i could of done it myself but you my have the same problem as me as my reboot (osx 10) disks just simply didnt work....so i know its the easy answer but take it to an apple store/shop or if you know any one who has a mac with the osx 10 cds ask to them to help....if that doesnt work and you havnt been to a store you can d/l the strat up files and load them to a ex-drive and boot from that...
 
The most likely cause of this is scratched or damaged installer CDs. Rather than replace them, just bring your Mac and its Mac OS X installer CDs into an Apple service centre and they'll sort it all out for you.
