Help with Numbers

Hello

I want to purchase Numbers for my iMac and then be able to sync the data to my iPad and update it there.... if i download the numbers from the store onto my iMac.. how do i get it to my iPad? can this be done?

New to mac :) thanks for replies.
 
You must download the separate Numbers app specifically made for your iPad. You can get it off the App Store on your iPad.
 
Basically yes, only because you are buying the program for two different operating systems. The Numbers program for your iPad is $9.99.

Besides buying iWork's Numbers for iPad and if you signed up for iCloud you might be able to SEE the documents on your iPad. On your Mac (and if you are setup for iCloud in 10.7.2) then open a number's document. Then when your document is ready click on the number's menu title bar for 'Share'. Then choose for iCloud for just your iCloud account. This way with any browser you can see the document at iWork.com (after you accept the verify email when first stetting it up).

The usual way to sync documents between Numbers (and many other apps) on iPad and iMac is via iTunes on iMac. I have done this and it works fine - although it's kind of clunky, IMHO. Be aware, however, that the iPad version does not have all the bells and whistles of the iMac version. Just keep things simple and you should be fine.
