Help with Win/MAC Networking, HELP!!

Somebody give me the skinny on setting up a network with macs and windows machines. I have two Win 2000 machines, a Hp laptop, and my iMac OS X.

I have read other threads on samba but I havce not found one place to set up the netowork. I would prefer if I didnt have to buy any software like Dave or MacLAn.

Somebody point me in the right direction and any suggestions.

If that thread doesn't help you with what you need, give more details. I have a Win2k / OS X network at home running great.
