Help - Working with Application Windows??

18 years and moved to Mac and OS/Kik-Arse


Simple question...coming from a PC / XP background. In OS/X im looking for a way where as when I use an application all I want is that particular application and it's child windows in focus.

Example : If I'm working in dreamweaver, the only windows I want to see are those related to dreamweaver. When I switch over to another app, like photoshop, all I want to see is windows related to photoshop. I figured out the "Hide Others" option. But, I want to switch from application A to B and have OS/X only display windows related to application B. When I switch back to application A, I want OS/X only to display windows and toolbars etc related to application A.

Hold down the "Command" and "Option" keys simultaneously, then click on the application you want to switch to in the Dock. All other windows should hide, showing only the application you clicked on and it's associated windows.

Or optionally use Command+Option+H (hide others) in most apps
