Hi i got an old ibook m2453 and i would like to install mac OS 9.1 on it but the cd reader is broken do u think its possible to install with a extern cd reader or can i dawnloade the software some place on the internet

Which OS does it have at the moment? If it's 9.0 - 9.0.4, you could update it with the updater.

Too bad your Mac does not have a firewire connection - if that was the case you could use target mode for install.

I see no reason an external CD drive should be a problem. I have installed OS9 using a firewire QPS CD burner in the past.
