HexEdit problem with DMG files.

Hello there!

I downloaded HexEdit (see: http://hexedit.sourceforge.net/ )...

Now, I downloaded a normal .DMG file and when I tried to install it, OS X tried to open it with HexEdit! How do I switch OS X Tiger to open DMG files with the default behavior?

There have been numerous threads on this forum about changing the default application that opens files. Hint: Use File/Get Info.
 
Select the file and go to File > Get Info in the Finder. In the "Opens with" section, select "DiskImageMounter". And then also press Change All.
