It's a pity, but then again, I can live without RealPlayer until there's a new beta, right? Keep looking on versiontracker.com/macosx.

I had Beta 2 as well and got the same error. Then I downloaded it again from the website and it works now.

Try that, should work.

Mac OS X will occasionally launch the wrong copy of applications, so if you install a newer version and double-click it, the system may decide to launch the older version, even if you already dragged the older version to the trash.

So be sure to empty the trash before launching the newer software.
