Hidden files how to ???

Hi

O.K I'm a UNIX newbe but I know of two
ways to hide a file :

- Listing the file in the .hidden document
- Put a dot at the beginning of the filename

But there has to be some other ways to hide a file
cause I've got a file who's not listet in the .hidden
document nor is it a dot-file

Can someone tell me the other ways to hide a file ?
