Welcome to the forum! I myself play keyboards and I have an iMac G5 connected through a MIDI interface to my Yamaha S08 and Kawai K4 synths. Currently, I'm using GarageBand but I'm looking to get some sequencing software.

I'm also a Linux fan and I plan on using a Celeron D system that I'm building for use with Linux and some music apps like LMMS and Wired.

Along with this, I also have a vintage Mac (Quadra 650) that's running our webpage and will probably also be used as a software synth.

Dunno why, but this reminds me of a friend of mine. There was a jazz festival in his town and he was driving musicians to the hotels and the stage and back. Now backstage at the concert, this dialogue happened...

"Hi, I'm Frank, I play the bass." And my friend smugly answered: "Hi, I'm Mathi. I play the car."

Welcome
Garageband has a loop that is used for sequence. I use audacity as a multitrack recording audio editor. It's Free and developed by audio engineers. This is the best sound I've had in recordings. besides I couldn't get garagebend to install?
