So I was watching The Screen Savers tonight on Tech TV and their Linux "guru" was talking about Apache. He spoke of its origins and how it was based on NCSA, the first web server ever. True, it was based on NCSA, but NCSA was not the first web server ever. CERN was. So looking for info on CERN for my friend, I found this nice writeup at CERN itself: http://public.web.cern.ch/Public/ACHIEVEMENTS/WEB/history.html . Notice the OS on his computer.
