@home cable modem w/ osx

I have no idea how to get my cable modem to work with macosx. I have the TCI/AT&T @home cable internet service. The thing works fine with os9. I think the problem is that osx (at least as far as i can tell) has no place to put in my dhcp client ID. Without having a place for this information, the @home server does not provide my system with a unique IP on startup. If anyone knows how to make the @home cable modem work with DHCP in OSX please do tell me. thanks.
 
Look at your papers that came with your @home kit...they look like receipts...big yellow things. All your info is on there, IP address, gateway (router), DNS, and netmask. Manually enter everything.
