Home directories stored on NFS share?

I've recently built a PC running an implementation of Linux. I'm looking to move all of my users home directories to this central server using NFS... If need be I will use AFP or some other supported protocol.

Has anybody done this sucessfully or would anybody have any info on the best method to use when trying to implement this?

Any info is greatly appreciated!

I don't really have any info on how to do it, but I would think you would have to make sure to mount the NFS drive early in the boot process.

Once it's mounted, there should be a place to specify the user's home directory(like we have with NetInfo in OSX).

I'm sure someone else will be able to fill in the gaps.

Could you simply mount the nfs shares in the fstab like many other 'nix systems? (I'm on a PC @ work and don't have access to my Mac right now)
