I was visiting my wife that has my old MBP 15" mid 2012 with Mac OS 10.11.0. It started with that her Safari crashing all the time and I tried to fix that. I found out she had not the latest OS 10.11.2 and app store did not show update. I downloaded the combo update, but got the error that the disk did not support the standards for any update.
Restarting the computer with "alt" shows 2 of the same hard disk. So my fusion must have gone bad. Otherwise the computer works fine, and she's now using Chrome as browser.
But really. How can I try to fix the fusion without destroying old data next time I see her?
