Hook up a monitor to my MacBook Pro

I have an HP W2338H Monitor with HDMI and VGA input and a new MacBook Pro 15.

How can I connect the two getting both audio and video to the monitor (with built in speakers)?

What cables do I need?

Well I'd say to take full advantage of the high resolution I would use HDMI. You can get an Mini Display Port to HDMI connector with audio (so you only need just the HDMI cable for audio and video. Or could use the audio cable that came with the screen and just use the only video Mini Display Port to HDMI connector.

Though if you really want VGA you can get it here (but thats not as cool).

I agree that HDMI is better than VGA. If you still want a Mini-Displayport to VGA I got one from Monoprice.com that works pretty well. Cheaper than Apple's.
