Hosts file: redirecting to another URL (not an IP)?

Greetings,

I know I can edit the hosts file to redirect a URL request to a specific IP address:

127.0.0.1 somedomain.com

But what if I want to do this:

Anytime I (or anyone else using my computer) type, let's say "yahoo.com", my Mac redirects the request, to "www.fred.com/somedirectory/somepage.html".

Is this doable? I'm running Tiger 10.4.11.
