I need this because the PS2 DivX player need to have a cd in ISO 9660 MODE 2 XA to play...

thanks in advance

I have Toast Titanium but Toast doesn't make an ISO MODE 2 XA image!!

so I need an other prog if exists

Missing Media Burner doesn't write an ISO MODE 2 XA :(

the only prog was NEROMAX but it doesn't support the macos x and new recoder... and the last release is 2000 I think.

In TOAST, under OTHER select ISO 9660. Then hit the SELECT button which brings up another window. In this, the ISO 9660 window select the SETTINGS tab. Then under the FORMAT drop-down menu select CD-ROM XA. Under NAMING you may want to selcet JOLIET from the drop-down menu.

from what i understand MODE 2 = XA and XA = MODE 2

Yes I've tried but the burned cd was not MODE 2 infact the PS2 DivX player don't recognize the cd... if I burn the cd with neromax on os 9.2 that works!

so I would an app in osx that can burn a cd and make this compatible with ps2 but don't exists I think! :(

I know toast and I've tried all options of ISO but none works... trust me! :D

thanks anyway :)

You can get a package called cdrecord that will damn near record any type of media/format. Mind you cdrecord is ported from Linux/Unix and is completely CLI oriented. The options and capabilities could take months to learn. But with a little tenacity you could probably figure out how to burn the specific type of format you want and forget about the rest.

cdrecord is available through fink as a solo pkg or a set of great utilities called cdrtools.

Fink Info cdrtools (This contains cdrecord, cdda2wav, and mkisofs - this is actually the download you want)
