I need to save some small pictures in 24 bit .png format for use as icons on the Tomtom satnav app on my iPhone. If they are in any other format they do not appear on the screen.

I have all the icons available from my old satnav but they are not in the 24 bit format.

I have access to Preview and Photoshop Elements 6.

I can't find any way of doing this. All help gratefully received.

I have always used the shareware application called Graphic Converter. It is the once software packages that is installed on every Mac that I will ever get.

I am not sure you can reduce size in Preview.

That looks to be just what I'm looking for! :)

Thanks!!

(wasn't there a DataViz app for OS3/4/5/6/7/8/9 of the same name?)

No. GraphicConverter has been a Lemkesoft application for decades and was for a time bundled with new Macs. For years, Dataviz developed MacLinkPlus Deluxe, the premier general file conversion utility for the Mac. Dataviz also produced a Windows utility named Conversions Plus. Today, its premier application is the mobile app, Documents To Go.
