how do i burn an imovie on to a dvd

What version of Mac OS X do you have rfasano? What version of iMovie do you have?

There should be an option to send the project to iDVD ... but I guess we need to know if you would like your DVD to be playable on standalone DVD players? I'm not sure if iMovie is that friendly, I could be wrong, though.
 
The purpose of iDVD is to produce standalone DVDs from QuickTime-compatible source material, whether from iMovie or from other sources.
