how do I install 9.2 on 10.6?

How do I install 9.2 on 10.2.6?? I have all the install disks but I'm worried that if I boot to the 9.2 install cd and do an install I will erase my volume... (that would not be good) Can you do a clean installation?? will it erase everything??

So my question would be what is what is the proper way to do this install??
 
It's been a long while since I installed 9.x on my 10.x... Insert the cd, follow the instructions, and choose not to eliminate anything you have on your HD. :)
