Any body has already opened a 1 GHz iMac ?

Is it easy to increase the RAM (DIMM, no SO-DIMM) ?

Is it possible to upgrade the graphic card ?

Should be info that came with iMac about upgrading memory, that should be a user capability. There should be a panel on the bottom to remove, you'll see memory slot there. Graphics card, no upgrade. Get a G4 Powermac if you want to upgrade more than memory internally.

It is really easy to upgrade your memory in the flat panel iMac. With the computer off, lay the computer down on a soft towel on a sturdy table so you can get to the bottom. Now with a screw driver, you open the bottom panel and there is a memory slot right there. You have one user accessible slot that takes PC2100 200 pin SO-DIMM. The factory installed is a PC2100 184 pin SDRAM.
You can not upgrade any more than the memory on an iMac. But you can add all sorts of firewire and usb equipment. :)

You need TORX screwdrivers and cooling paste before you begin :)
Some call it "thermal paste" too. I actually ran across an Apple-made PDF manual showing how to take apart the original LCD iMac. But I probably deleted it a while ago... :(
