How do i overclock my ibook with software? firmware hacks?

I don't know of any software that would achieve that with your particular iBook. There were (hardware!) hacks that did overclock iBooks of the G3 generation. Thing was that the _clock_ was running faster then, too. The iBooks – and Macs in general – are not really made for overclocking...

What is this about, these 15 percent? Have a friend with an 1.42 GHz iBook you have to compete with? :p
 
the speed difference is not worth the hassle or pain if it goes wrong, the latent unreliability inherent in overclocking. it would make such an insignificat difference to using your mac. i would definately advise against it. i would however, reccomend the £30 quid it would cost to double the ram. that would make a huge difference, and is totally supported by the OS.
