How do I resurrect user accounts after archive and install?

I just had to do an archive and install on my system with 10.4 and I don't know how to bring back the two user accounts from my previous system. Is this even possible? I've located them in the previous system folder, but don't know what to do from there.
Any help would really be appreciated!

Thank you for the response. Is there any reason why the preserve users and network settings check box would have been greyed out during the install?
No biggie, just curious.
