How do I tell iPhoto I'm in the UK, for books etc?

Hey all,

I've been tinkering with iPhoto after a loooong time away from it, as now it allows me to load photos in without copying them wholesale from their current location on my hard drive. I'm going to want to make some of those gorgeous photobooks at some point but the UK iLife website refuses to show me any prices, and when I click on pricing details in iPhoto it takes me to the US page.

How do I tell it I'm in the UK and get the UK prices and ordering options? I've tried to register iPhoto/iLife but it came bundled with my new iMac so I haven't got any iLife packaging to get a serial or MPN number from. Or... do I need the MPN number from the iMac packaging...?

iPhoto takes the time and date preferences from your System Preferences > International > Formats.
So if the time and currency settings there are for UK, it will work the way you want.

It doesn't seem to make any difference. Mine is set up for the UK but when I click on 'options and prices' in iPhoto it takesme to the US page.

Hm... how about open the page that opens for apple.com/something and add it to be apple.com/uk/something? it should redirect, if it doesn't, send feedback about their webpage.

I don't use iPhoto but I tested this on Aperture.. same. http://www.apple.com/uk/aperture/books/ is as far as goes the same URL but even that page doesn't look fully thought thru - they forgot the main page white... US options and prices takes to http://www.apple.com/aperture/books/prices.html is the only one that seems to give out prices.

Okay, different tack - anyone in the UK that's used iPhoto '08 to order photobooks (or even iPhoto '06, recently) able to let us know at what point in the creation/ordering process you're told how much your book will cost?

I'm not comfortable making a book and adding pages etc without knowing what the cost implications are!
