Hi all, me again. (Learning about my mac more and more each day with your assistance). I need to know how to copy a cd/dvd. I have established how to burn existing files to a blank disc, but am having trouble ascertaining how to copy from disc to disc. Bearing in mind I am used to using a pc and placing two discs in at once and pressing the relevant button to copy from one to another. So again i would appreciate it if it could be explained to me in (lay mans terms) dummy language. Most appreciated. ; )

What type of data are you wanting to copy from disc to disc ....
If it's not a protected video DVD, you can use Disk Utility to create a CD/DVD-master image (.cdr) which you can burn afterwards. I'm not sure whether Disk Utility lets you burn from a CD directly if you have two drives. If that ain't good enough, there's Roxio Toast Titanium, a splendid (albeit costly) burn-application.
