How do you read your RSS?

I was going to post this as a poll but could not find the "poll-making" button in the new interface. Regardless, what do you prefer and why for reading your RSS?

Netnews lite
Netnews paid version
Newsfire
Firefox's dynamic RSS?
Newsfan
Don't need an RSS reader

Also, am I missing any?

None of them really do the job properly (which isn't to say they aren't good programs, esp. given how quickly RSS has sprung up).

I like NetNewsWire and NewsMac, but I still need to flip back and forth to the browser to follow up.

I also like Firefox's RSS but I find that it hardly recognises any of the feeds that I regularly follow (with NewsMac) - it's only MacMinute's and Firefox's own RSS feed.

Plus, with all of the above, I have to wade through a whole bunch of stuff that I don't have any interest in and mark it "read" - need some kind of filter/sort on the feeds.

I'm hoping Safari RSS can sort some of this mess out for me.

i use a combo of the Sage RSS reader in Firefox, and the Live Bookmarks in Firefox.
I'd rather have it all there in one place - I don't need a lot of functionality - I just want to see if there's new news, and read it if it's there.

NetNewsWire 2.0. Definitely. Don't have to use the browser anymore, since it uses WebKit internally. You want to read more about a subject, it opens a tab for me in the same window. Gorgeous. Still beta, but it's gonna be there in a matter of days/weeks. It's already replaced everything else for me.

Safari 2.0's way of handling RSS is very nicely done (typically Apple), but it doesn't cover the way I'm used to RSS by now. Then again: I just won't have to decide, I guess. For now, NetNewsWire 2 won't completely replace my browser needs, and Safari - quite obviously for me - won't replace my RSS needs. So while both are trying, in effect nothing changes that drastically for me...

I've got to hand it to you Fryke - you make the most compelling arguments for me to try to get into using a RSS reader. (NNW2 obviously)
I'm still not sold, but trying it out based on your emphatic replies. :)

i use feeddemon on windows. but from your replys, it looks like i better start searching for a suitable mac equivilent.

's anybody know what NNW2 is lacking compared to the pro version? Ah, blast, I'll just download that one, too, and take a look. :)

Indeed, I have been using NNW Lite for quite some time, but the built-in-browser is compelling me to upgrade to the paid version ...
