How far along is Panther?

For those of you who are trying it out, legally or otherwise, how far is Panther from final release? Think it'll be ready by the Paris Expo?

I'm concidering getting one of the new PowerBooks (which we all know will come out ;) ) and it'd be a killer deal if Panther shipped with 'em
 
If 7b59 is any measure, it's not far, but I don't think there's any chance that there will be a gold master at the Expo, there's too many bugs, etc. They haven't even hit the release candidate process (which MIGHT happen by Paris Expo.

I am hopeful, however, that it will be ready when I receive my Dual 2.0 G5, which looks to be mid-October at this point =)
 
I don't know... Jag gold wasnt exactly "purrfect" either... IMHO i think we will be close to a GM at paris, with a final date announced for October or November
 
I found Jag 6C115 to be quite stable... Right now, I'm still having some issues with Panther... But they're small ones that could be done by 7B70 ca.
 
any updates on this? I'm supposed to get my Dual G5 by middle - late october (ordered in the middle of august :mad: ) and I'm wondering if I"ll at least get a copy of Panther as a bonus for waiting so freakin long.
 
There's the rumour that Panther will be released on 24. October 2003. However, this doesn't mean anything for a possible 'free upgrade' for your G5.
