There is the clue. You changed the name of the folder? Set up a new account through the Accounts in System Preferences. Allow the user to Administer. Log out, and log in to the new user.
 
thats what I did. But I still think there some problems there...

I have lost some of my stuff, as I said in a previous post - I lost my Itunes stuff. I think that a clean re-install is required, even if that doesnt solve the problem - at least that will put my mind at rest of it being a OS fault...
 
I've had my powerbook 15 alum 1.5ghz now for about 2 months, and had it running solid since I took it out of the box. Not one global crash. The only thing I have seemed to have trouble with is Speech Recognition...it sometimes just randomly disappears without notice....weird...
