How much is enough?

I have 768mb Ram under the hood. I feel that I need more as I do lots of audio/video editing.

I'm thinking of upgrading to 1Gb Ram. Is this enough or should I go more?

For that purpose the more the better. If the price difference with 1 G and more isn't unaffordable, I'd go for more.

Agreed. Get as much memory as you can possibly afford. You'll be happy that you did.
