how to access school laptop?

i just got a macbook pro from my college and they loaded all kinds of software on it but is there any way i can figure out if my new laptop from my school has any of their own software on it? such as a monitoring system or something like that. possibly use terminal, etc.?

You can install Little Snitch that will inform you of any outgoing or incoming network traffic, as well as the application that is requesting the network communications.

You might need administrator access to install this software, though... not sure if you have admin rights to the computer.

Also, if the college has any "terms and conditions" for your use of the laptop, you'd be best off ensuring that installing Little Snitch is not in violation of any terms or conditions.
